ನೌಕಾನೆಲೆಯ ವಜ್ರಕೋಶದಲ್ಲಿ ರಹಸ್ಯ ಸ್ಪೋಟ : ಅಲಿಗೇರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಗಳ ಗೋಡೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿರುಕು

ಅಂಕೋಲಾ: ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಅಲಿಗೇರಿ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ಭಾರೀ ಭಯ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಪೋಟ ನೌಕಾನೆಲೆಯ ವಜ್ರಕೋಶ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ.ಸ್ಪೋಟದ ತೀವ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊಗೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಬಾನೆತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಚಿಮ್ಮಿದ್ದು, ಸಮೀಪದ ಮೂರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮನೆಗಳ ಗೋಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿರುಕು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

2015ರಲ್ಲಿ ಲೋಕಾರ್ಪಣೆಗೊಂಡ ನೌಕಾನೆಲೆಯ ವಜ್ರಕೋಶ್ ಮದ್ದುಗುಂಡು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ನೌಕೆಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಮದ್ದುಗುಂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭದ್ರತಾ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಸ್ಪೋಟ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿರುವುದು ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಸವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸ್ಪೋಟದ ಕಾರಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನೌಕಾನೆಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿಲ್ಲ.

ಒಳಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪೋಟ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆಯಾ? ಅಥವಾ ಬೇರೆ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪೋಟವಾಗಿದೆಯಾ? ಎಂಬುದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಸ್ಪೋಟದ ಶಬ್ದ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಗೆ ನೋಡಿದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಕುಮಟಾದ ಎಸಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂಕೋಲಾದ ತಹಶೀಲ್ದಾರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಂತರ ಅಂಕೋಲಾದ ಕಂದಾಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ವಿಶೇಷ ತಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿದೆ. ನೌಕಾನೆಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ವಿವರಗಳು ಬರುವವರೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕ‌‌ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುವುದು ಸಹಜವಾಗಿದೆ..

ಘಟನೆ ಅಂಕೋಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ, ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಕೂಡ ತನಿಖೆಗೆ ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Ankola: A massive explosion near the Naval Armory area has caused fear among residents in and around Aligeri village of the taluk. The force of the blast sent smoke high into the sky, and cracks have appeared on the walls of more than three nearby houses, creating panic in the region.

The Naval Armory — inaugurated in 2015 — functions as an ammunition storage facility where weapons and ammunition required for warships are stocked. The occurrence of such an explosion in a highly secured zone has become a topic of widespread discussion. Naval authorities have not yet released any official information regarding the cause of the blast.

It is still unclear whether the explosion was carried out as part of internal construction work or if it occurred due to some other reason. After hearing the loud blast and witnessing the smoke, locals immediately informed the Kumta Assistant Commissioner and the Ankola Tahsildar. Subsequently, a special team of revenue officials from Ankola rushed to the spot. Until clear details are provided by the naval authorities, continued anxiety among the villagers is natural.

Since the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Ankola Police Station, the police have also begun their investigation.
