ಕಾರವಾರ: ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಮಟ್ಟದ ಕೆಡಿಪಿ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಔಷಧಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವೈದ್ಯರ ಕೊರತೆ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಕಾರವಾರ–ಅಂಕೋಲಾ ಶಾಸಕ ಸತೀಶ್ ಸೈಲ್ ತೀವ್ರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ ಸಭೆಯಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಟ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.

ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಔಷಧಿಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದಾಗ, “ವೈದ್ಯರೇ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಔಷಧಿ ಕೊಡುವವರು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದು ಶಾಸಕ ಸತೀಶ್ ಸೈಲ್ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವ ಮಂಕಾಳ ವೈದ್ಯ ಅವರು “ವೈದ್ಯರ ಕೊರತೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ನೀವು ತರಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದ ಮಾತಿನಿಂದ ಸ್ವಪಕ್ಷದ ಸಚಿವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧವೆ ಶಾಸಕ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

“ನಾವು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲು ಹೆಬ್ಬೆಟ್ಟು ಗಿರಾಕಿಗಳು ಅಲ್ಲ. ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಸಭೆಗೆ ನಾನು ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಸೈಲ್ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಮಟ್ಟದ ಕೆಡಿಪಿ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವುದಾದರೆ ತಾವು ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ ಸಭೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದ ಪ್ರಸಂಗ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

Karwar: What began as a routine Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) meeting at the District Panchayat office in Karwar on Friday soon turned tense after a heated exchange broke out between in-charge minister Mankal Vaidya and Karwar–Ankola MLA Satish Sail, leading to the MLA walking out in protest.

The disagreement arose while officials were discussing healthcare concerns, particularly the reported shortage of medicines in government hospitals across the district. Raising the issue, Satish Sail demanded swift steps to ensure the availability of essential drugs for patients.
Responding to this, Minister Vaidya pointed out that the availability of medicines alone would not solve the problem if there were not enough doctors to treat patients. His remarks were perceived as dismissive, triggering a sharp reaction from the MLA.

Questioning the minister’s statement, Sail said that appointing doctors was the responsibility of the government and not that of elected representatives like him. The verbal exchange soon intensified, with tensions flaring in the meeting hall. Following the argument, Satish Sail expressed his displeasure and walked out of the session, leaving the meeting midway.
