ಶಾಸಕರ ಮನೆ ಆವರಣಕ್ಕೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿದ ಚಿರತೆ : ನಾಯಿಮರಿ ಬಲಿ

ಶಿರಸಿ : ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಶಿರಸಿ-ಸಿದ್ದಾಪುರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಶಾಸಕ ಭೀಮಣ್ಣ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರ ಮಳಲಗಾಂವದ ತೋಟದ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿರತೆಯೊಂದು ನುಗ್ಗಿ ನಾಯಿ ಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತೊಯ್ದ ಘಟನೆ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿ 1ರಿಂದ 1:30ರ ಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ ಚಿರತೆ ಮನೆಯ ಆವರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಸಿಸಿಟಿವಿ ಕ್ಯಾಮರಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ದೃಶ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಚಿರತೆ ಮೊದಲು ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ  ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ನಂತರ ಬೇಟೆಯಿಗಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದೇ ವೇಳೆ ಮನೆಯ ಹೊರಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ ನಾಯಿಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅರಣ್ಯದೊಳಗೆ ಹೊತ್ತೊಯ್ದಿದಿದೆ

ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಸಿಸಿಟಿವಿ ವೀಡಿಯೊ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದಾಗ, ರಾತ್ರಿ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಚಿರತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ನಂತರ ಮನೆಯವರು ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಚಿರತೆಯ ಸಂಚಲನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿರುವ ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕುರಿತು ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಿರತೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗ ಆತಂಕದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ.

Sirsi: A leopard entered the farmhouse of Sirsi–Siddapur MLA Bhimanna Naik in Malalgav village of Sirsi taluk, Uttara Kannada district, and carried away a puppy.

The incident came to light through CCTV footage recorded between 1:00 and 1:30 AM on Tuesday. In the footage, the leopard is first seen roaming around the premises, carefully inspecting the surroundings before going on the hunt. Moments later, it grabs a puppy that was sleeping outside the house and disappears into the forest.

The next morning, staff members discovered the footage and realized that a leopard had visited the premises during the night. The family immediately informed the Forest Department, and forest officials visited the spot to investigate. They have advised residents in nearby areas to remain alert as leopard movement has been frequently reported in the region.

The sighting has created a sense of fear and concern among local residents.
