ಕಾರವಾರ : ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರಾಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೈಲರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೂವರು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಮೂಲದ ರೌಡಿಗಳ ಗುಂಪು ಮಾರಣಾಂತಿಕ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ..
ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮೊಹ್ಮದ್ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಫಯಾನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೌಶಿಕ್ ನಿಹಾಲ್ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು ಮಾದಕ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಜೈಲಿನೊಳಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಈ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಜೈಲರ್ ಕಲ್ಲಪ್ಪ ಗಸ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಿಬ್ಬರು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆದು, ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಹರಿದು ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡ ಜೈಲರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕಾರವಾರ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಡಕಾಯತಿ ಸೇರಿ 12ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ರೌಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜೈಲಿನಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಶಿಫ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಜೈಲಿನೊಳಗಿನ ಮಾದಕ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಸರಬರಾಜನ್ನು ಜೈಲು ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು ಮೊದಲು ಜೈಲರ್ ಜೊತೆ ವಾಗ್ವಾದ ನಡೆಸಿ, ನಂತರ ಅವರ ಮಾರಣಾಂತಿಕ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ..
ಈ ಘಟನೆ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರಾಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಭದ್ರತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Rowdies Attack Prison Officials Inside Karwar Jail
Karwar: A shocking incident has taken place at the district prison in Karwar, where a group of rowdies from Mangaluru brutally assaulted the jailor and three prison staff.
According to reports, accused Mohammed Abdul Fayaan and Kaushik Nihaal, both hailing from Mangaluru, carried out the attack after prison authorities completely stopped the supply and use of narcotic substances inside the jail.
The accused allegedly pelted stones at Jailor Kallappa Gasti and two other staff members, tore their clothes, and assaulted them. The injured jailor and staff were immediately admitted to the Karwar District Hospital.
These rowdies, who are accused in more than 12 cases including dacoity, were recently shifted to Karwar jail from Mangaluru under heavy security. Angered by the jail administration’s strict action to cut off drug supply within the prison, the accused first argued with the jailor and then launched a murderous attack.
Following the incident, security within the prison has been tightened. Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
