ಕುಮಟಾ : ಮಿರ್ಜಾನ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ದೇವದಾಸ್ ಗುನಗ ಅವರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 14 ಅಡಿ ಉದ್ದದ ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ಸರ್ಪ (King Cobra) ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮನೆಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡ ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ಸರ್ಪವನ್ನ ಉರಗ ತಜ್ಞ ಪವನ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮಿರ್ಜಾನಿನ ದೇವಿಸಾಸ್ ಅವರ ಮನೆಯ ಊಟದ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಕೆಳಭಾಗದಲ್ಲೇ ಹಾವು ಬುಸುಗೆಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅದೇ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವದಾಸ್ ಗುನಗ ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಸುಮ್ಮನಾಗಿಯೇ ತಿಂಡಿ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಕಾಲ ಬಳಿ ದೈತ್ಯ ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ಇರುವುದನ್ನ ದೇವಿದಾಸ್ ಗುನಗಾ ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಗಮನಿಸಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಯೋಸಹಜ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ಇರೋ ಕಾರಣ ಅಷ್ಟು ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಆಗುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಪತಿ ದೇವಿಸಾದ್ ಅವರೇ ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರಂತೆ. ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಪತ್ನಿಗೆ ಟೇಬಲ್ ಮೇಲೆ ತಿಂಡಿಯನ್ನ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ದೇವಿದಾಸ್ ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಹೊರಗಡೆ ಬೇರೆ ಏನೋ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
ಈ ವೇಳೆ ದೇವಿದಾಸದ ಗುಮಗಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮನೆಯ ಊಟದ ಕೋಣೆಯಿಂದ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿ ಬುಸುಗುಡುವ ಶಬ್ಧ ಕೇಳಿಬಂದಿದೆ. ತಕ್ಷಣ ಹೋಗಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಭಾರೀ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ಸರ್ಪವೊಂದು ತನ್ನ ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಕಾಲ ಬಳಿಯೇ ಹೆಡೆಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಂತಿರುವುದನ್ನ ಕಂಡು ಅವರೂ ಕೂಡ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಗಾಬರಿಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ತಾನು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ಸರ್ಪ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನ ಅರಿತ ಅವರು ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಬಳಿ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿ ಏನೋ ವಿಚಾರ ಹೇಳೋದು ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಒಳಗಡೆಯಿಂದ ಪತ್ನಿಯನ್ನ ಹೊರಗಡೆ ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಟೇಬಲ್ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾವು ಇರೋದನ್ನ ಕಾಣಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಗ ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಕೂಡ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಭಯಭೀತರಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಈ ಕಾಳಿಂಗ.
ಬಳಿಕ ಉರಗ ತಜ್ಞ ಪವನ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಪವನ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ ದೇವಿದಾಸ್ ಮನೆಯೊಳೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಭಾರೀ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ಸರ್ಪವನ್ನ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ ದೂರದ ದಟ್ಟಕಾಡಿನೊಳಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನೂ ಪವನ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರ ಕಾರ್ಯಚರಣೆಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರಿಂದಲ್ಲೂ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.
King Cobra Raises Its Hood Near Woman’s Feet! Husband Saves Wife with Quick Thinking in Mirjan
Kumta: A massive 14-foot-long King Cobra entered the house of Devdas Gunaga in Mirjan village, causing panic among the family members. Snake rescuer Pavan Naik safely rescued the cobra from inside the house.
In Devdas’ home, the cobra was hiding right under the dining table, while Devdas’ wife was calmly having her meal on the same table—completely unaware of the danger below. Due to age-related health issues, she could not move quickly, and Devdas usually takes care of her daily needs.
On this day, after serving his wife food on the dining table, Devdas had stepped outside for some work. Suddenly, he heard a loud hissing sound from the dining room. When he rushed inside, he was shocked to see a giant King Cobra raising its hood right near his wife’s feet.
Realizing that entering suddenly might provoke the cobra to attack, Devdas, with presence of mind, gently called his wife outside saying he needed to talk to her. Once she stepped out safely, he showed her the cobra hidden under the table, leaving her terrified.
He immediately called snake expert Pavan Naik, who arrived promptly. Pavan safely captured the massive King Cobra and released it deep inside the forest. Locals appreciated Pavan’s swift and skilled rescue operation.
