ಹೊನ್ನಾವರ : ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಗೇರುಸೊಪ್ಪ ಸೂಳೆಮೂರ್ಕಿ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಬಳಿ ಸಾರಿಗೆ ಬಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ ನಡುವೆ ಭೀಕರ ಅಪಘಾತ ನಡೆದು ಬಸ್ ಕಂದಕಕ್ಕೆ ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಓರ್ವ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದು ಹತ್ತಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಪಘಾತ ಸುದ್ದಿ ತಿಳಿದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಸಚಿವ ಮಂಕಾಳ್ ವೈದ್ಯ ಅವರು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಬಸ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ಭಟ್ಕಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಈ ವೇಳೆ, ಸೂಳೆಮೂರ್ಕಿ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಬಳಿ ಬಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ ನಡುವೆ ಅಪಘಾತ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಬಸ್ ಕಂದಕಕ್ಕೆ ಉರುಳಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಬಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಬಹುತೇಕ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಗೆ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡವರನ್ನ ಇದೀಗ 108 ಸೇರಿ ಒಟ್ಟು ಐದಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಂಬ್ಯೂಲೆನ್ಸ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೊನ್ನಾವರ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಕರೆತರಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 30ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿದ್ದರು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಸ್ ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಯ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದೆ.
ಭಾರೀ ಕಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಸ್ ಉರುಳಿ ಬಿದಿದ್ದು, ಬಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರನ್ನ ಹೊರತೆಗೆಯಲು ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೊನ್ನಾವರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣಾ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಅಪಘಾತದ ಸುದ್ದಿ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಅಪಘಾತ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಪಘಾತ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ನೇಟ್‌ವರ್ಕ್ ಸಹ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಇನ್ನೂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಿಳಿದು ಬರಬೇಕಿದೆ.
Honnavar: A horrific road accident occurred near Gerusoppa Soolemurki Cross in Honnavar taluk, where a transport bus and a car collided head-on. Following the collision, the bus plunged into a roadside ditch, leaving several passengers on the bus as well as people in the car seriously injured.
The bus was traveling from Bengaluru to Bhatkal when the accident took place near Soolemurki Cross. Due to the impact, the bus overturned into a deep trench, causing serious injuries to many passengers. According to initial reports, the injured have been rushed to the Honnavar Government Hospital in five ambulances, including the 108 emergency service. It is said that there were more than 30 passengers on board the bus.
Because of the overturned bus, traffic movement on the highway has been severely disrupted. Fire and rescue personnel have reached the spot and are working to rescue the passengers trapped inside the bus. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Honnavar Police Station. Upon receiving the information, local police immediately arrived at the scene.
As the accident site reportedly has poor mobile network connectivity, more detailed information is expected to emerge soon.
