ಯಲ್ಲಾಪುರ: ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಯಲ್ಲಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಅರಬೈಲು ಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ತಡರಾತ್ರಿ ಭಾರೀ ಅವಘಡ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ಚಿಕ್ಕೋಡಿಯಿಂದ ಕೇರಳದತ್ತ ಎಥಿನಾಲ್ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಲಾರಿ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಲೈಟ್‌ ಕಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದು ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ಲಾರಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ತಗುಲಿ ಕ್ಷಣಾರ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಕರಕಲಾಗಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ 63ರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಆವರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕೆಲಕಾಲ ಸಂಚಾರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ತೀವ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಲಾರಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಭಸ್ಮವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್ ಚಾಲಕ ಪ್ರಾಣಾಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಘಟನಾ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಯಲ್ಲಾಪುರ ಠಾಣಾ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ನಂದಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಯಲ್ಲಾಪುರ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Arbail Ghat Ethanol Tanker Accident: Lorry Gutted in Fire, Driver Escapes Unharmed

Yellapur: A major accident occurred late at night at Arbail Ghat in Yellapur taluk of Uttara Kannada district. An ethanol-laden lorry traveling from Chikkodi towards Kerala lost control, rammed into an electric pole, and overturned. As a result, the vehicle caught fire and was completely gutted within moments.

Traffic on National Highway 63 was disrupted for some time as the flames spread across the road. The lorry was entirely destroyed in the blaze, but fortunately, the driver escaped without any life-threatening injuries.

Yellapur police and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and carried out firefighting operations. A case has been registered at the Yellapur Police Station.
