ದುಬೈ: ಬದ್ಧ ವೈರಿಗಳಾದ ಭಾರತ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ನಡುವೆ ನಡೆದ ಏಷ್ಯಾ ಕಪ್ ಫೈನಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಗೆಲುವು ಸಾಧಿಸಿ, ದಾಖಲೆಯ 9ನೇ ಬಾರಿ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್ ಪಟ್ಟ ಕೈಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ತಿಲಕ್ ವರ್ಮಾ ಅವರ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ, ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ಆಟ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಗೆಲುವಿನ ತುತ್ತೂರಿ ಊದಿಸಿತು.

After losing the toss, Pakistan came out to bat first and started strongly. However, Indian bowlers struck back with precision, bundling out Pakistan for 146 runs in 19.1 overs. Sahibzada Farhan scored 57 runs, while Fakhar Zaman added 46 runs. But India’s spinners turned the tide in the middle overs, causing a collapse. Kuldeep Yadav was the star, taking 4 wickets for 30 runs, while Axar Patel, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Jasprit Bumrah claimed two wickets each, restricting Pakistan to a below-par total.
Chasing a target of 147, India faced early setbacks as Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Suryakumar Yadav were dismissed cheaply. However, Tilak Varma’s brilliant half-century rescued India. Supported well by Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube, Varma guided the chase smoothly. India reached 150/4 in 19.4 overs, sealing a 6-wicket victory. Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 69 runs and was named Man of the Match.
Bumrah’s fitting reply to Haris Rauf!
In a fiery moment, Jasprit Bumrah gave Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf a taste of his own medicine. Rauf, who had previously behaved rudely with Indian fans, was clean-bowled by a deadly yorker from Bumrah. After dismissing him, Bumrah celebrated with a “plane crash” gesture, symbolically bringing Rauf’s arrogance down, which sent Indian fans into a frenzy of cheers.
With this emphatic win, India once again stamped its dominance over Asia, defeating Pakistan in style and lifting the coveted Asia Cup trophy for the ninth time.
