ಮುಂಡಗೋಡು:ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಕೊಳಗಿ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ರುಂಡವಿಲ್ಲದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಬೆತ್ತಲೆ ಮೃತದೇಹ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಭಾರೀ ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮೃತದೇಹವು ಸುಮಾರು ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಸೆದಿರಬಹುದೆಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಶಂಕೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಮುಂಡಗೋಡು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಘಟನೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ತನಿಖೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಗುರುತು ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ದೇಹದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದಾಗ ಇದು ಕೊಲೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣವೇ ಆಗಿರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.  ಮುಂಡಗೋಡ ಠಾಣಾ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ.ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಗುರುತು ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಹಂತಕರು ಆಕೆಯ ರುಂಡವನ್ನೆ ಹೊತ್ತೊಯ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರುಂಡದ ಪತ್ತೆಗಾಗಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಶೋಧಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಘಟನೆ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಹೇಗೆ..?
ಮಳಗಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಕೊಳಗಿ ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ತರಲು ಹೋದಾಗ ಈ ಭೀಕರ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಮೃತದೇಹವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಗಾಬರಿಗೊಂಡ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಕಿರುಚುತ್ತಾ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿ ಬಂದು ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದು. ಕೊಲೆಯದ ಮಹಿಳೆಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 33 ರಿಂದ 35 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗಿರಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಅಂದಾಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.  .

ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಶ್ವಾನ ದಳ ಹಾಗೂ ತಜ್ಞರ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆರೋಪಿಗಳ ಪತ್ತೆಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ತಂಡ ರಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತನಿಖೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Headless Body of Woman Found in Kolagi Forest, Shocks Mundgod

Mundgod:The headless, naked body of an unidentified woman was found in the Kolagi forest area under Mundgod taluk triggering panic and shock across the district.

Police suspect that the woman was murdered about two days ago and her body was dumped in the forest. Acting on information provided by local residents, personnel from the Mundgod Police Station rushed to the spot and carried out a preliminary inspection. Senior police officials also visited the scene and initiated a detailed investigation.

The identity of the woman is yet to be established. Based on the condition of the body and surrounding circumstances, the police believe it to be a case of murder. The crime occurred within the jurisdiction of the Mundgod Police Station. Efforts are underway to collect details of missing women from nearby areas.

Investigators suspect that the assailants may have taken the victim’s head to prevent identification. A search operation has been launched in the surrounding forest area to trace the severed head.

How the Crime Came to Light
The gruesome incident came to light when a woman from a nearby village went into the Kolagi forest area under Malagi Gram Panchayat limits to collect firewood. Shocked by the sight of the body, she ran back to the village and alerted others, who then informed the police.

The deceased woman is believed to be between 33 and 35 years old.A police dog squad and forensic experts were pressed into service to gather clues. A special investigation team has been formed to trace the perpetrators, and the investigation is ongoing from multiple angles.
