ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಮಾಜಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್. ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಆಘಾತ ಎದುರಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದಾಖಲಾದ ಪೋಕ್ಸೋ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತ್ವರಿತ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಿಂದ ನೀಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸಮನ್ಸ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ರದ್ದುಪಡಿಸಲು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದೆ.
ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಎಂ.ಐ. ಅರುಣ್ ಅವರ ನ್ಯಾಯಪೀಠದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆದ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಬಳಿಕ, ತ್ವರಿತ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಸಮನ್ಸ್ ರದ್ದುಪಡಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಮಹಿಳೆಯೊಬ್ಬರು ತನ್ನ 17 ವರ್ಷದ ಪುತ್ರಿಗೆ ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ನೀಡಿದ ಆರೋಪದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಆ ದೂರು ಆಧರಿಸಿ ಪೋಕ್ಸೋ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯಡಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಈ ತೀರ್ಪಿನಿಂದ ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಅವರ ಕಾನೂನು ಹೋರಾಟ ಹೊಸ ಹಂತಕ್ಕೇರಿದೆ.
Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa has received a major setback from the High Court. The court has dismissed his petition seeking to quash the summons issued against him in a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case.
The hearing took place before Justice M.I. Arun, who refused to cancel the summons issued by the special fast-track court.
It is noteworthy that a woman had filed a complaint alleging that Yediyurappa had sexually harassed her 17-year-old daughter. Based on this complaint, a case was registered against him under the POCSO Act.
With this High Court decision, Yediyurappa’s legal battle has entered a more serious phase.
