ಕೇಣಿ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಬಂದರು ಯೋಜನೆ ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ನಾಳೆ ಅಂಕೋಲಾ‌ ಬಂದ್

ಅಂಕೋಲಾ: ವಿವಾದಿತ ಕೇಣಿ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಬಂದರು ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ನಾಳೆ ಅಂಕೋಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕೇಣಿ ಬಂದರು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹೋರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಳೆ (25) ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ ಪೂರೈಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಗರಿಕರು, ಸಂಘಟನೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಲವು ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರು ನಡೆಸಿದ ನಿರಂತರ ಧರಣಿ, ಸತ್ಯಾಗ್ರಹ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರು ಅಂಕೋಲಾ ಬಂದ್ ಗೆ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ವಿರೋಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಹಾಗೂ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಸ್ಥರ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ನಾಳೆ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಪ್ರೇರಿತವಾಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ, “ವಿನಾಶಕಾರಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಶವ” ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರತಿಕೃತಿ ಅಣಕು ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ನಗರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ, ಅಂತ್ಯಸಂಸ್ಕಾರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೋರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ತೀವೃ ವಿರೋಧ  ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು

ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಸ 103 ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳ ಜನರ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ  ಅಪಾಯ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ನೆಲ–ಜಲ–ಜೀವ ಉಳಿಯಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಅಂಕೋಲಾ ಉಳಿಯಬೇಕು” ಎಂಬ ಘೋಷದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Ankola: A bandh has been declared in Ankola town tomorrow in protest against the controversial Keni Commercial Port Project.

The ongoing protest against the Keni port will complete one year tomorrow (25). Over the past year, citizens, various organizations, and activists have continuously held sit-in protests, Satyagraha, and demonstrations. Marking this one-year-long struggle, the protestors have announced an Ankola Bandh.

Based on public opinion and the consent of local traders, the town will voluntarily observe a complete shutdown tomorrow. As part of the one-year protest, activists will conduct a symbolic mock procession titled “Funeral of the Destructive Project”, which will pass through major streets of the town, followed by a symbolic cremation to express strong opposition.

People from 103 villages have been opposing the project, saying it threatens their livelihood. The protest continues with the slogan “To save land, water, and life — Ankola must be saved.”
