ಶಿರಸಿ: ನಗರ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೀಡಾಡಿ ಜಾನುವಾರು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಪಘಾತಗಳಿಗೆ ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಗರಸಭೆ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಶು ಸಂಗೋಪನಾ ಇಲಾಖೆ, ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಲವು ಸಂಘ–ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ಸಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲು ಜಂಟಿ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
10 ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಗಡುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾನುವಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಾಕುವಂತೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿ, ನಂತರ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಗೋಶಾಲೆಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ನಗರದ ಆಡಳಿತ ಸೌಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸದ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಕಾಗೇರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಾಸಕ ಭೀಮಣ್ಣ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. .
ಬೀಡಾಡಿ ದನಗಳಿಂದ ಅಪಘಾತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ: ಸಂಸದ ಕಾಗೇರಿ ಆತಂಕ
ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸಂಸದ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಕಾಗೇರಿ ಅವರು, “ಬೀಡಾಡಿ ದನಗಳಿಂದ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆ ಅಪಘಾತಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಜನರ ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾನಿ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್‌ ಸೇವನೆದಿಂದ ಜಾನುವಾರುಗಳ ಸಾವಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೆಲವು ಜಾನುವಾರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಲಕರು ಇದ್ದರೂ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಬಿಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಗಂಭೀರ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮಾನವೀಯ ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಅಗತ್ಯ: ಶಾಸಕ ಭೀಮಣ್ಣ ನಾಯ್ಕ
ಶಾಸಕ ಭೀಮಣ್ಣ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, “ಅಜ್ಜೀಬಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ತಾಲೂಕಾ ಗೋಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಅನುದಾನ ನೀಡಲು ಸಿದ್ಧನಿದ್ದೇನೆ. 7 ದಿನ ಕೊಂಡವಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾನುವಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ನಂತರ ಗೋಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.
ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ 600ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬೀಡಾಡಿ ಜಾನುವಾರು
ಸಮಾಜಸೇವಕ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾರ್ ಅವರು, “ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ 500–600 ಜಾನುವಾರುಗಳಿದ್ದು ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡ ದನಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಕಾಲ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಸಿಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಆತಂಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಗೋಶಾಲೆಗೆ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ 70ಲಕ್ಷ ವೆಚ್ಚ
ಪಶು ಸಂಗೋಪನಾ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಹಾಯಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ.ದಿನೇಶ್ ಅವರು, ಅಜ್ಜೀಬಳ ಗೋಶಾಲೆಗೆ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ 60–70ಲಕ್ಷ ವೆಚ್ಚ ಬರುವುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದ ಶಾಸಕ ಭೀಮಣ್ಣ ನಾಯ್ಕ, ತಾಪಂ ಹಾಗೂ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ಅನುದಾನ ಬಳಸುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಲು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.
Joint Team Formed to Control Stray Cattle in Sirsi City – 10-Day Deadline
Sirsi: A joint meeting held under the leadership of the City Municipal Council has decided to form a special committee comprising officials from the Animal Husbandry Department, Police Department, and representatives of various organizations to address the growing problem of stray cattle in the city and the accidents caused by them.
A 10-day deadline has been set to create awareness among cattle owners to keep their animals at home. After the deadline, the authorities will begin capturing the stray cattle and shift them to the goshalas.
The meeting was held at the City Administration Building under the leadership of MP Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri and MLA Bheemanna Naik, where opinions from all departments were collected before final decisions were taken.
Increase in Accidents Due to Stray Cattle: MP Kageri Expresses Concern
Speaking at the meeting, MP Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri said,
“Accidents, especially during nighttime, are increasing because of stray cattle, putting people’s lives at risk. The number of cattle deaths due to plastic ingestion is also rising. Although some cattle have owners, they are irresponsibly left on the roads, which is a serious issue.”
Need for Humane Approach: MLA Bheemanna Naik
MLA Bheemanna Naik stated,
“I am ready to allocate funds for developing the necessary infrastructure at the Ajjibala Taluk Goshala. The cattle should be kept at Kondawadi for seven days and then handed over to the goshala.”
Over 600 Stray Cattle in the City
Social worker Srinivas Hebbar expressed concern, saying,
“There are around 500–600 stray cattle in the city, and injured cattle involved in accidents are not receiving timely treatment.”
70 Lakh Annual Expense for Goshala
Assistant Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Dinesh, informed that the Ajjibala goshala requires an annual budget of ₹60–70 lakh.
