ಬಾಗಲಕೋಟೆ : ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸೈದಾಪುರದ ಗೋದಾವರಿ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೈತರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ತೀವ್ರಗೊಂಡ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ವಿಗ್ನತೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ನಡೆದ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಅವಘಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡಿಷನಲ್ ಎಸ್.ಪಿ ಮಹಾಂತೇಶ್ವರ ಜಿದ್ದಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಗಂಭೀರ ಗಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಲು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲ್ಲು ತೂರಾಟದ ನಡುವೆ ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲು ಬಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರ್ಯಾಕ್ಚರ್ ಗಾಯವಾಗಿರುವ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಬಾಗಲಕೋಟೆಯ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ರವಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಮೂಲಗಳಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ, ಸೈದಾಪುರ ಗೋದಾವರಿ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯ ಎದುರು ರೈತರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶಭರಿತರಾಗಿ ಕಬ್ಬು ತುಂಬಿದ ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂವತ್ತಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಕ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿದ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸದ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ರೈತರ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ತೀವ್ರಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಣಾರ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿದೆ.
ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ನಂದಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದರೂ, ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿನ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಉದ್ವಿಗ್ನಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಲು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನ ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಹಿತಕರ ಘಟನೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸದಂತೆ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಘಟನೆಯ ನಂತರ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತದಿಂದ ಮೂರು ತಾಲೂಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಿಷೇಧಾಜ್ಞೆ ಜಾರಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕ್ಷಣದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 16ರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ನಿಷೇಧಾಜ್ಞೆ ಜಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರಲಿ ಇರಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆದೇಶಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ASP Injured in Saidapur Sugar Factory Fire Incident
Bagalkot: Additional Superintendent of Police Mahanteshwar Jiddi sustained serious injuries during a violent incident at the Godavari Sugar Factory in Saidapur, Bagalkot district, where tensions flared up due to the farmers’ protest.
According to reports, while attempting to control the situation, a stone struck his leg during stone pelting, causing a fracture injury. The injured officer was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Bagalkot for treatment. Sources said his condition is serious.
Meanwhile, angry farmers set fire to around thirty cane-laden tractors parked outside the Godavari Sugar Factory. The protest turned violent as farmers expressed outrage over the non-response from sugar factories, and the flames spread rapidly.
Fire and emergency personnel arrived promptly and succeeded in extinguishing the fire, though tension persisted around the factory premises. To prevent any further untoward incidents, additional police forces were deployed at the site.
Following the incident, the district administration imposed prohibitory orders in three taluks for the next three days. The order will remain in force until 8 a.m. on November 16, officials confirmed.
