ಭಟ್ಕಳ : ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಭಟ್ಕಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಪಾಠಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೀನು ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಾಲುಜಾರಿ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಭಟ್ಕಳದ ಜಂಬರಮಠ ಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ..

ನ್ಯೂ ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತನೇ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶಶಿಧರ್ ಯೋಗೇಶ್ ಮೊಗೇರ್ (15) ಮೃತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.ಈತ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೀನು ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಕೆರೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದ್ದರು ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಮೀನು ಹಿಡಿಯ ವೇಳೆ‌ ನಿಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದಂತೆ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಾಲು ಜಾರಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಬಳಿಕ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತುವಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.. ಘಟನಾ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಡಿವೈಎಸ್ಪಿ ಮಹೇಶ್ ಕೆ. ಹಾಗೂ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಘಟನೆಯ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಭಟ್ಕಳ ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Bhatkal: A tragic incident occurred at the Jambaramatha lake in Bhatkal, Uttara Kannada district, where a student drowned after accidentally slipping into the water while trying to catch fish with his friends.

The deceased has been identified as Shashidhar Yogesh Mogera (15), a Class 10 student of New English School. According to reports, Shashidhar had gone to the lake along with his friends to catch fish. While moving closer to the water, he accidentally slipped and fell into the lake. His friends tried to rescue him, but by the time he was pulled out, he had already passed away.

DYSP Mahesh K. and the police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.

A case has been registered at the Bhatkal Town Police Station regarding the incident.
