ಪಣಜಿ: ಶೇವ್ ಪುರಿ ತಿಂದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಓರ್ವ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತಲ್ಲೆ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಗೋವಾದ ಮಡಗಾಂವ ಸ್ಟೇಡಿಯಂ ಬಳಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದೆ.
ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ದೋಡಾಮಾರ್ಗ ಮೂಲದ ಪ್ರಸಾದ ಪರಿತ್ (35) ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಈತ ಮಡಗಾಂವ ಸ್ಟೇಡಿಯಂ ಬಳಿ ಶೇವ್ ಪುರಿ ಸೇವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಈತನಿಗೆ ವಾಂತಿ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ತುರ್ತಾಗಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಗೋವಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ದುರದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ತಲುಪುವ ಮೊದಲುಲೇ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ವೈದ್ಯರು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಸಾವನ್ನು ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಘಟನೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪೋಲಿಸರು ಧಾವಿಸಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪೋಲಿಸರು, ಪ್ರಸಾದನ ಸಾವಿನ ನಿಖರ ಕಾರಣ ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ತನಿಖೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಫಾರೆನ್ಸಿಕ್ ವರದಿ ಬಂದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಾವಿನ ನಿಜವಾದ ಕಾರಣ ತಿಳಿದುಬರಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಶೇವ್ ಪುರಿ ಸೇವಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸಾವು ಸಂಭವಿಸಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಘಟನೆ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರಾಟವಾಗುವ ಆಹಾರದ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರು ರಸ್ತೆ ಬದಿಯ ಆಹಾರ ಸೇವನೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Panaji: A tragic incident occurred near Margao Stadium in Goa when a man died shortly after consuming sev puri, triggering panic among locals and tourists.
The deceased has been identified as Prasad Parit (35), a native of Dodamarg, Maharashtra. According to sources, Prasad was eating sev puri from a street vendor near the stadium when he suddenly began feeling unwell. Moments later, he started vomiting profusely.
Bystanders immediately rushed him to the South Goa District Hospital, but unfortunately, Prasad passed away before reaching the hospital. Doctors later confirmed his death upon examination.
Police officials arrived at the scene soon after receiving the information and have registered a case. They stated that the exact cause of death will only be known after the forensic report is released.
The sudden death following street food consumption has raised serious concerns about food hygiene and safety in the area. Locals and tourists are now being extra cautious about eating food sold by roadside vendors.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and assured that strict action will be taken if any negligence is found.
