ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗಿ ಪರಪ್ಪನ ಅಗ್ರಹಾರ ಜೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಾಸನ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಂಸದ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್ ರೇವಣ್ಣಗೆ ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಕೆಲಸ ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್ ರೇವಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಜೈಲಿನ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಲರ್ಕ್ (ಸಹಾಯಕ) ಹುದ್ದೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಜೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ವಿತರಿಸುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದರ ದಾಖಲೆ ಇಡುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್‌‌ಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಲೈಬ್ರರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿರುವ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ 522 ರೂ. ಕೂಲಿ ನಿಗದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ ದಿನ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಂಬಳ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 12 ದಿನಗಳ ಶ್ರಮದಾನ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್ ರೇವಣ್ಣ ವಿಚಾರಣಾ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಹಾಜರಾತಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಕೀಲರ ಜತೆ ಚರ್ಚೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತರಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪೂರ್ಣಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ಲೈಬ್ರರಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಜೈಲು ನಿಯಮಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಜೀವಾವಧಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದ ಕೈದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಸಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್ ಅವರು ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃಷಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಇಚ್ಛೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರೂ, ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಜೈಲು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಲೈಬ್ರರಿ ಕ್ಲರ್ಕ್ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಮೂಲಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿವೆ. ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್ ರೇವಣ್ಣ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಒಂದು ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಜೀವಾವಧಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಕೆಳ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನುಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕೋರ್ಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿದಿದೆ.
Prajwal Revanna Appointed as Jail Librarian Clerk
Bengaluru: Former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, who is currently lodged in Parappana Agrahara Central Jail after being convicted in a rape and sexual assault case, has finally been assigned work inside the prison. He has been appointed as a clerk in the jail library.
As part of his duties, Prajwal will be responsible for issuing books to inmates and maintaining records of which books have been borrowed and returned. Sources revealed that he has already started working in the library and will receive a daily wage of ₹522 for the days he works. However, a minimum of 12 workdays per month is mandatory for prisoners engaged in such jobs.
Currently, Prajwal is not working full-time in the library, as he often attends court hearings and meets with his legal team to discuss ongoing cases. According to prison rules, inmates serving life imprisonment sentences are assigned work based on their qualifications and interests.
Initially, Prajwal expressed interest in working in agriculture or administrative tasks, but the prison authorities ultimately decided to place him in the library role.
Among the multiple cases against Prajwal, only one rape case has so far resulted in a life sentence as ruled by the lower court. The hearings for the other pending cases are still ongoing in the Special Court for Public Representatives.
