ಭಟ್ಕಳ: ಕಾಡುಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಹತ್ಯೆ ಶಂಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಹುರುಳಿಸಾಲ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಮನೆಯೊಂದರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿ 21 ಕೆಜಿ ಮಾಂಸ, ಜಿಂಕೆ ಕೊಬ್ಬು ಹಾಗೂ ಎರಡು ಏರ್ಗನ್ಗಳನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಜಾಫರ್ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮವರ್ ಎಂಬಾತ ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಡುಪ್ರಾಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಮನೆಯ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲೇ ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ ಉಳಿದ ಅವಶೇಷಗಳನ್ನು ಮನೆಯ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪಾಳುಬಿದ್ದ ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಎಸೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪ ಕೇಳಿಬಂದಿದೆ. ದಾಳಿ ವೇಳೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಬಾವಿಯೊಳಗಿದ್ದ ಅವಶೇಷಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರತೆಗೆದು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದ್ದು.ಮನೆ ಒಳಗೆ ಶೋಧ ನಡೆಸಲು ಮುಂದಾದಾಗ ಮನೆಯವರು ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆರೆದು ಸಹಕರಿಸದೇ ವಿರೋಧ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಸುಮಾರು ಆರು ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಕಾದ ಬಳಿಕ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆರೆಯಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಂತರ ನಡೆದ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದ 21 ಕೆಜಿ ಮಾಂಸ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜಿಂಕೆ ಕೊಬ್ಬು ಹಾಗೂ ಎರಡು ಏರ್ಗನ್ಗಳನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಆರ್ಎಫ್ಒ ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿ, ಮೇಲ್ನೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಇದು ಕಾಡುಕೋಣನ ಮಾಂಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಶಂಕೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಾಂಸದ ನಮೂನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ವರದಿ ಬಂದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾಂಸದ ಸ್ವರೂಪವನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಆರೋಪಿ ತಲೆಮರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಶೋಧ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರ ಠಾಣೆ ಸಿಪಿಐ ದಿವಾಕರ ಪಿ.ಎಂ., ಪಿಎಸ್ಐ ನವೀನ ನಾಯ್ಕ, ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಠಾಣೆ ಪಿಎಸ್ಐ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ, ಡಿಆರ್ಒಎಫ್ಗಳಾದ ಮಾರುತಿ, ಸಂದೀಪ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಧನಂಜಯ ಮೊಗೇರ ಮತ್ತಿತರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
Forest Department Raid in Bhatkal: 21 kg of Meat, Deer Fat and Two Air Guns Seized
Bhatkal: Acting on suspicion of illegal hunting, officials of the Forest Department conducted a raid on a house in the Hurulisala area and seized 21 kilograms of meat, deer fat and two air guns.
The accused, identified as Jaffer Brahmavar, is alleged to have hunted a wild animal in the forest, processed the meat near his house and disposed of the remaining remains into a dilapidated well located adjacent to the house. During the raid, officials retrieved the remains from the well and carried out a detailed inspection.
When the officials attempted to conduct a search inside the house, the family members initially refused to open the door and did not cooperate, expressing resistance. After waiting for nearly six hours, the door was finally opened. Subsequent inspection led to the recovery of 21 kg of meat stored in the refrigerator. Deer fat and two air guns were also seized from the premises.
Speaking to the media, Range Forest Officer Vishwanath Naik said that prima facie the seized meat is suspected to be that of a wild boar. Samples of the meat have been sent to the forensic science laboratory, and the exact species will be confirmed after the report is received.
The accused is currently absconding. Forest officials, along with the police, have launched a search operation to trace and arrest him. The operation was carried out with the participation of City Police Station CPI Divakar P.M., PSI Naveen Naik, Rural Police Station PSI Mallikarjun, DRFOs Maruti and Sandeep, along with Dhananjaya Mogera and other personnel.
