ಗೋವಾ : ಉತ್ತರ ಗೋವಾದ ಅರ್ಪೋರಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ನೈಟ್ಕ್ಲಬ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಶನಿವಾರ ತಡರಾತ್ರಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಸಿಲಿಂಡರ್ ಸ್ಫೋಟ ಭಾರೀ ದುರಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸ್ಫೋಟ ನಂತರ ಕ್ಷಣಾರ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಬೂದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.ಈ ದುರ್ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 23 ಮಂದಿ ದಾರುಣವಾಗಿ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಘಟನೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಗೋವಾ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಸಾವಂತ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಮೃತರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನವರು ಅಡುಗೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಮೂವರು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ಮೂವರು–ನಾಲ್ವರು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರೂ ಮೃತ ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು CM ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಬೆಂಕಿ ಅವಘಡದಾಗ ಮೂವರು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಸುಟ್ಟ ಗಾಯಗಳಿಂದ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟರೆ, ಉಳಿದವರು ಗಾಢ ಹೊಗೆಯಿಂದ ಉಸಿರುಗಟ್ಟಿ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವರದಿ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದೆ. ನೈಟ್ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಮಾನದಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸದಿರುವುದು ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ತನಿಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕು ಕಂಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು CM ಸಾವಂತ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿಯಮ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೂ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ರಾತ್ರಿ 12 ಗಂಟೆ ಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ ರೆಸ್ಟೋರೆಂಟ್-ಕಮ್-ಕ್ಲಬ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಫೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಂತರ ಕೆಲವು ನಿಮಿಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಭುಗಿಲೆದ್ದಿದ್ದು, ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರು ಆಫ್ತಾಗಿ ಹೊರಬರುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಹಲವರು ಒಳಗೇ ಸಿಲುಕಿದರು. ಆಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳ ಮತ್ತು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಶೀಘ್ರ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಿಡೀ ರಕ್ಷಣಾಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
ಶಾಸಕ ಮೈಕೆಲ್ ಲೋಬೊ ಅವರು, ಈ ಘಟನೆಯ ನಂತರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ಲಬ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಪರವಾನಗಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪರವಾನಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕ್ಲಬ್ಗಳ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ತಡೆ ವಿಧಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಗೋವಾ ಡಿಜಿಪಿ ಅಲೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿ 12:04 ಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ತಕ್ಷಣ ಪೊಲೀಸರು, ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಂಬ್ಯುಲೆನ್ಸ್ ಘಟನಾ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೆಂಕಿ ಈಗ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು, 23 ಶವಗಳನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೆಂಕಿ ಸ್ಫೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವೇನು ಎಂಬುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತನಿಖೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಡುಗಿಸಿದ ಈ ದುರಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಶೋಕಸಂದೇಶಗಳು ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಪೀಡಿತ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ನೆರವಿನ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
Massive Tragedy at Goa Nightclub: 23 Charred to Death
Goa: A massive tragedy struck North Goa on Saturday late night when a cylinder explosion at a popular nightclub in Arpora led to a devastating fire. The blaze spread within seconds, reducing the entire club to ashes. In this horrifying incident, 23 people lost their lives.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who visited the site, said that most of the victims were kitchen staff, including three women. He also confirmed that three to four tourists were among the deceased.
According to medical reports, three people died due to severe burn injuries, while the rest died of suffocation caused by dense smoke. The preliminary investigation indicates that the nightclub did not follow mandatory fire safety norms, the Chief Minister stated. He assured strict action against the club management and the officials who granted the permissions.
The explosion occurred around 12 AM, following which flames engulfed the restaurant-cum-club within minutes. People inside tried to escape, but the fire spread so rapidly that many were trapped. Firefighters and police rushed to the scene and carried out rescue operations throughout the night.
MLA Michael Lobo announced that after this incident, all clubs in the state will undergo strict fire-safety license inspections. Clubs without valid permissions will face immediate closure, he added.
Goa DGP Alok Kumar stated that the first distress call was received at 12:04 AM. Police, fire services, and ambulances were immediately dispatched to the location. The fire has now been completely brought under control, and 23 bodies have been recovered. Police are investigating the exact cause of the explosion.
This incident has shocked the entire state. Leaders across parties have expressed condolences, and the government has assured full support to the families of the victims.
