ಧಾರವಾಡ: ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇನ್ಸಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದವರೊಬ್ಬರು ಅಣ್ಣಿಗೇರಿ ಬಳಿ ನಡೆದ ಕಾರಿನ ಅವಘಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಕರಕಲಾಗಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಕೆಲವೇ ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ.
ಹಾವೇರಿಯ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇನ್ಸಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಪಂಚಾಕ್ಷರಯ್ಯ ಸಾಲಿಮಠ ಎಂಬುವವರೇ ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಕರಕಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕಾರು ಕೂಡಾ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಕರಕಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮದುವೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮುಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮರಳಿ ಗದಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದುರ್ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. 2003ರ ಬ್ಯಾಚಿನ ಇವರು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ, ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ ಉಪನಗರ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಕಾಲ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಘಟನೆಗೆ ನಿಜವಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಏನು ಎಂಬುದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಣ್ಣಿಗೇರಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.
Dharwad: A shocking incident occurred just a few minutes ago near Annigeri, where a car accident resulted in a police inspector being burnt to death.
The deceased has been identified as Panchaksharaya Salimath, who was serving in the Haveri Lokayukta office. He was completely charred in the incident, and the car was also gutted in the fire.
The accident took place while he was returning to Gadag after attending a wedding ceremony. A 2003 batch officer, he had earlier served in Dharwad Rural and Hubballi Sub-Urban police stations.
The exact cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained. A case has been registered at the Annigeri Police Station.
