ನಾರ್ವೇ ದೇಶದ ಸ್ಯಾಮ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರ್ಟಿಮಾ ದಾಂಪತ್ಯ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟು ಯಜ್ಞಕುಂಡದ ಸುತ್ತ ಸಪ್ತಪದಿ ತುಳಿದರು. ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಗೋಕರ್ಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸ್ಯಾಮ್, ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರುಹೊಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಾಹವಾಗುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಸಮಾರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರು, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಮುರಳಿ ಕಾಮತ್ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದು, ನಾರ್ವೇ ಜೋಡಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾರೈಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ವೃತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಯಾಮ್ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಡುಗೆ ತಜ್ಞರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ.

At the Café Paradise Resort on Kudle Beach, a Norwegian couple solemnized their wedding following traditional Indian Vedic rituals, capturing the curiosity and admiration of the locals.

Sam and Artima from Norway entered married life by taking the sacred seven steps (Saptapadi) around the holy fire. Sam, who has been visiting Gokarna for several years, is said to have developed a deep admiration for the beauty of Indian culture, which inspired the couple’s decision to get married in this sacred town.

Impressed by the hospitality and warmth of Café Paradise owner Murali Kamat — and his respect for Indian traditions — the couple invited him personally to their wedding. Amid Vedic chants, priests V. Prasanna Jogabhat, V. Mahesh Adi, V. Krishna Soori, and V. Vinayak Upadhyaya conducted the marriage rituals in a traditional manner.

Tourists, locals, and members of Murali Kamat’s family attended the ceremony and extended their blessings to the Norwegian couple. It is learned that Sam is a professional chef by occupation.

The wedding, held amid Gokarna’s pristine natural beauty and infused with Indian cultural traditions, became an unforgettable experience for everyone who witnessed it.
