ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಹಾರಿ ಒಂದೇ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ನಾಲ್ವರು ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ

ಧಾರವಾಡ: ತೀವ್ರ ಸಾಲಬಾಧೆಗೆ  ಒಳಗಾದ  ಒಂದೇ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ನಾಲ್ವರು ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಹಾರಿ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಹೃದಯವಿದ್ರಾವಕ ಘಟನೆ ಧಾರವಾಡ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಲ್ಲಿಗವಾಡ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.

ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಲ್ಲಿಗವಾಡದ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಶಿಂಧೆ (42), ಅವರ ತಂದೆ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ ಶಿಂಧೆ (80), ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ (12) ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀನಿಧಿ (11) ಎಂಬುವವರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಯಲ್ಲಮ್ಮ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಬಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ದನ ಮೇಯಿಸಲು ಬಂದ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಬಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶವಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ನಂತರ ಘಟನೆ ಬಯಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನಾರಾಯಣ ಶಿಂಧೆ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ವಯೋವೃದ್ಧ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡೇ ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಹಾರಿ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.  ಮೃತ ಬಾಲಕಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಸಮವಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಹಾರಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.

ಘಟನಾ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾರವಾಡ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ವರಿಷ್ಠಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಗುಂಜನ್ ಆರ್ಯ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾಲ್ಕೂ ಶವಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರತೆಗೆದು ಮರಣೋತ್ತರ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಕಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Four Members of a Family Jump into Well, Die by Suicide
Dharwad: In a tragic incident, four members of the same family, reportedly burdened by severe debt, died by suicide after jumping into a well in Chikkamalligavada village of Dharwad taluk.

Narayan Shinde (42) of Chikkamalligavada, his father Vitthal Shinde (80), and his two children, Shivakumar (12) and Shrinidhi (11), were found dead in a well near the Yellamma Temple in the village.

The incident came to light when villagers who had come to graze cattle noticed the bodies floating in the well and immediately informed the police. It is suspected that Narayan Shinde jumped into the well along with his children and elderly father. The young girl was reportedly still wearing her school uniform when she jumped.

Staff from the Dharwad Rural Police Station and District Superintendent of Police Gunjan Arya visited the spot and conducted an inspection. All four bodies were recovered and sent to the district hospital for post-mortem examination.
