ಕಾರವಾರ: ದೇಶದ ಸುಮಾರು 78 ಲಕ್ಷ ಇಪಿಎಸ್-95 ಪಿಂಚಣಿದಾರರನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಘರ್ಷ ಸಮಿತಿ (NAC) ನವೆಂಬರ್ 20ರಂದು ಕಾರವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಂಚಣಿದಾರರ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ..
1995ರ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 16ರಿಂದ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಇಪಿಎಸ್-95 ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ 6.7 ಲಕ್ಷ ಪಿಂಚಣಿದಾರರು ಇದ್ದು, ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಾಸರಿ ರೂ.1175 ಅಥವಾ ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸಂಯೋಜಕ ರಮಕಾಂತ ನರಗುಂದ ಅವರು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಭೆಯ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪಿಂಚಣಿದಾರರ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಳೆದ ಏಳು–ಎಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕಮಾಂಡರ್ ಅಶೋಕ್ ರಾವುತ್, ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಕಾಂತ ನರಗುಂದ ಮತ್ತು ವೀರೇಂದ್ರ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರವು 1-9-2014ರಿಂದ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ರೂ.1000 ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅದು ಜೀವನ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಗೆ ಸಾಕಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸಮಿತಿ ವಾದಿಸಿದೆ.
ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 20ರಂದು ನಡೆಯುವ ಕಾರವಾರ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಘರ್ಷ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕಮಾಂಡರ್ ಅಶೋಕ್ ರಾವುತ್, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ NAC ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ವೀರಕುಮಾರ್ ಗಡಾದ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ನಾಯಕರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳು
ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಪಿಂಚಣಿಯನ್ನು ರೂ.1000 ರಿಂದ ರೂ.7500 ಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದು, ಪಿಂಚಣಿದಾರರು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಾತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ, 4-10-2016 ಹಾಗೂ 4-11-2022ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ಜಾರಿ, ಇಪಿಎಸ್ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಲ್ಲದ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ರೂ.5000 ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ನಿಗದಿ.
Major EPS-95 Pensioners’ Meeting to Be Held in Karwar on November 20
Karwar: The National Agitation Committee (NAC), which represents nearly 78 lakh EPS-95 pensioners across the country, will hold an important pensioners’ meeting in Karwar on November 20.
Under the EPS-95 scheme, which has been in force since November 16, 1995, Karnataka alone has about 6.7 lakh pensioners, many of whom are receiving a monthly pension of ₹1,175 or even less — a matter of serious concern.
The committee’s chief coordinator, Ramakant Naragund, shared the meeting details through a press release. For the past seven to eight years, Commander Ashok Rawat, Shri Ramakant Naragund, and Virendra Singh have been leading the struggle for the welfare of pensioners. Although the government fixed the minimum pension at ₹1,000 from 1-9-2014, the committee argues that this amount is insufficient for basic livelihood.
In this context, several national-level leaders—including NAC President Commander Ashok Rawat and Karnataka NAC Working President Veerakumar Gadad—will participate in the Karwar meeting on November 20.
Key Demands of the Committee:
Increase the minimum pension from ₹1,000 to ₹7,500, Provide free medical facilities for pensioners and their spouses, Implement higher pension benefits as per court orders dated 4-10-2016 and 4-11-2022, Grant a pension of ₹5,000 to senior citizens who are not covered under the EPS scheme
