ಶಿರಸಿ/ಅಂಕೋಲಾ : ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಶಿರಸಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂಕೋಲಾ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೇ ದಿನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಹಿಳಾ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ಹೃದಯಾಘಾತದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಶಿರಸಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಇಟಗುಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್‌ನ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಗೀತಾ ಬೋವಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂಕೋಲಾ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಭಾವಿಕೇರಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯೆ ಸುಮಿತ್ರಾ ಬಂಟ್ ಹೃದಯಾಘಾತದಿಂದ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮಹಿಳಾ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳ ಈ ಅಕಾಲಿಕ ನಿಧನದಿಂದ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವಲಯ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರ ದುಖಃಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಶಿರಸಿಯ ಗೀತಾ ಬೋವಿ ನಿಧನವಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಶಾಸಕ ಭೀಮಣ್ಣ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರು ಸಂತಾಪ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವತ್ತು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮೊಟಕುಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಪರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ನಿಧನಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಾಯಕರು, ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಸಂತಾಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Sirsi/Ankola: A tragic incident occurred in Uttara Kannada district where two women representatives from Sirsi and Ankola taluks died of heart attacks on the same day.
Geetha Bovi, former president of Itaguli Gram Panchayat in Sirsi taluk, and Sumitra Bant, member of Bhavikeri Gram Panchayat in Ankola taluk, passed away due to cardiac arrest.
The sudden demise of these two women representatives has caused deep sorrow in political circles as well as among local residents.
Sirsi MLA Bheemanna Naik expressed his condolences over the death of Geetha Bovi and cancelled all programs scheduled in his constituency for the day.
Both women were known for their dedication to public service at the village panchayat level. Local leaders, colleagues, and the general public have expressed their heartfelt condolences over their untimely demise.
