ಅಂಕೋಲಾ : ಗೂಡ್ಸೂ ಲಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡುಗೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಸಾಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಲಾರಿ‌ ಚಾಲಕ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಮಧ್ಯದ ನಶೆಯಿಂದಿ ಅಡುಗೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಲಾರಿಯನ್ನ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಹಾರವಾಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.

ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ಗೋವಾ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ MH 51 C 4448 ನಂಬರ್‌ನ ಪ್ರಿಯಾ ಆಯಿಲ್ ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಅಡುಗೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಸಾಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಲಾರಿ ಚಾಲಕ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಏಕಮುಖ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ರಸ್ತೆ ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರಿ ಪಲ್ಟಿ ಆಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ..

ಅಪಘಾತದಿಂದ ಲಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅಡುಗೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಡಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿತ್ತು. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕೆಲ‌ಕಾಲ‌ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರ ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡುಗೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ಸುದ್ದಿ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಅದನ್ನ ಸಾಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಅದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್ ಚಾಲಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ಲಿನರ್ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಪ್ರಾಣಾಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಂಕೋಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣಾ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.

Ankola: A bizarre incident occurred near Haravada in Uttara Kannada district when a goods lorry carrying edible cooking oil overturned on the highway after the driver, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the vehicle.

The lorry, bearing registration number MH 51 C 4448, belonging to Priya Oil Company, was transporting cooking oil from Hubballi to Goa when the driver reportedly veered onto the wrong side of the one-way road, causing the vehicle to overturn on the roadside.

Due to the impact, large quantities of cooking oil spilled across the highway, leading to a temporary traffic disruption. Upon learning about the spill, some locals allegedly collected the oil that had spread over the road.

Fortunately, both the driver and the cleaner escaped the accident without serious injuries. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Ankola Police Station.
