ಭಟ್ಕಳ: ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಮುಗ್ದಂ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಶಿ ರಾಶಿ ಗೋವುಗಳ ಮೂಳೆಗಳು ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ತಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಮೂಳೆಗಳನ್ನ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನ ಜೆಸಿಬಿ ಮೂಲಕ ನೆಲಸಮ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಘಟನೆ ಗಂಭೀರತೆಯನ್ನು ಮನಗಂಡ ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ತುರ್ತು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಭಟ್ಕಳ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮೂಳೆ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಡಿವೈಎಸ್ ಪಿ ಮಹೇಶ ಕೆ ಬೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ

ಘಟನೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ
ಭಟ್ಕಳ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಮುಗ್ದಂ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಗೋಹತ್ಯೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಶಂಕೆ ಕಳೆದ ಕೆಲ ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಶಂಕೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗುವಂತ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋವುಗಳ ಮೂಳೆ, ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಂಸ ರಾಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ವೀಡಿಯೊ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿದಾಡಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ತೀವ್ರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಂದ ತ್ವರಿತ ಕ್ರಮ
ಸುದ್ದಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿದ ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧೀಕ್ಷಕ ದೀಪನ್ ಎಂ.ಎನ್ ಅವರು ಭಟ್ಕಳ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ತುರ್ತು ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಿ. ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲು ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎಸ್ಪಿ ಅವರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದಂತೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ತನಿಖಾ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮೂಳೆಗಳು ಪತ್ತೆಯಾದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಸೀಲ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಮೂಲಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿವೆ.
ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ
ರಾಶಿ ರಾಶಿ ಗೋವುಗಳ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ತೀವ್ರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಗೋಹತ್ಯೆ ನಿಷೇಧಿತವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಗಂಭೀರ ವಿಷಯ. ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಠಿಣ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Bhatkal: A shocking discovery has been made in the forest area near Mugdam Colony in Bhatkal taluk, where large piles of cow bones were found. Following widespread reports and viral videos on social media, authorities swiftly moved into action.
A team of officials visited the site and demolished the tanks where the bones were stored using JCB machines. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the Uttara Kannada District Police registered a case at the Bhatkal police station and initiated a thorough investigation.
Background of the Incident
For the past few days, there had been growing suspicion among locals that illegal cow slaughter was taking place in the forest areas surrounding Mugdam Colony. These suspicions were confirmed when disturbing videos showing heaps of cow bones and meat surfaced on social media. The videos sparked outrage among the public, forcing the authorities to respond immediately.
Uttara Kannada District Superintendent of Police (SP) Deepan M.N. held an emergency meeting with officers of the Bhatkal police station soon after the news broke. Acting on his orders, a special investigation team (SIT) was formed to probe the case.
Police teams reached the site, sealed off the entire area, and began the process of collecting evidence. Officials have confirmed that the location is now under strict surveillance to prevent tampering with evidence.
Public Outrage and Demands
The discovery of mass cow remains has sparked widespread anger among locals. Despite the legal ban on cow slaughter, residents allege that large-scale illegal activities have been operating unchecked in the forest area.
“This is a very serious issue. The government and police must take strict action and ensure the culprits are severely punished,” demanded local residents, expressing their frustration over the incident.
Authorities have assured the public that a comprehensive investigation is underway and promised decisive action against those involved in this illegal operation.
