ಭಟ್ಕಳ: ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ತೆಕ್ಕಟ್ಟೆಯಿಂದ ಅಕ್ಕಿಯ ನುಚ್ಚು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಶಿಗ್ಗಾವಿಯ ಕಡೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಟ್ರಕ್ೊಂದು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ವೆಂಕಟಾಪುರ ಸಮೀಪ ಸೋಮವಾರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್, ಚಾಲಕ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪುಟ್ಟ ಗಾಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಾಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
ಆರೋಪಿ ಚಾಲಕನನ್ನು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಜು ಘೋರ್ಪಡೆ (34) ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಾವಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಬಡಿದು ಟ್ರಕ್ ಕಟಟೆಗೆ ತಾಕಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಅನಾಹುತ ತಪ್ಪಿದಂತಾಗಿದೆ.
ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡ ಚಾಲಕನನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಸಾಗಿಸಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಘಟನೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಭಟ್ಕಳ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ತನಿಖೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆದಿದೆ.
Truck Falls Into Well After Leaving Highway; Driver Escapes Danger
Bhatkal: A truck transporting rice rava from Tekkate in Kundapur towards Shiggaon lost control and fell into a well near Venkatapur on Monday night. Fortunately, the driver escaped with minor injuries and survived the accident.
The driver has been identified as Siddaraju Ghorpade (34) from Dharwad district. The truck hit the edge of the well and got stuck against the wall, preventing a major disaster.
The injured driver was shifted to the local government hospital for treatment. A case has been registered at the Bhatkal Rural Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
