ಕಾರವಾರ: ಅಂಕೋಲಾದಿಂದ ಕಾರವಾರದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರ ಟೆಂಪೋ ಒಂದು, ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಟಿಪ್ಪರ್‌ಗೆ ಹಿಂಬದಿಯಿಂದ ಗುದ್ದಿದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ 12ಮಂದಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡ ಘಟನೆ ಮುದಗಾ ಬಳಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ 66ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಮುದಗಾ ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ಬಳಿ ಹಂಪ್ ಇರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಟಿಪ್ಪರ್ ಚಾಲಕ ವಾಹನದ ವೇಗ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ, ಹಿಂಬದಿಯಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಟೆಂಪೋ ಚಾಲಕ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಬ್ರೇಕ್ ಹಾಕಿದರೂ, ಬ್ರೇಕ್ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸದೇ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಟಿಪ್ಪರ್‌ಗೆ ಡಿಕ್ಕಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಟೆಂಪೋದ ಮುಂಭಾಗ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಜ್ಜುಗುಜ್ಜಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಗೆ ಗಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 12 ಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ರೇಷ್ಮಾ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಗಾಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕಾರವಾರ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕಾರವಾರ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತನಿಖೆ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Tempo–Tipper Collision Leaves 12 Passengers Injured
Karwar: A passenger tempo travelling from Ankola towards Karwar collided with a tipper lorry from behind, leaving 12 passengers injured in an accident that occurred near Mudaga on National Highway 66.
The accident took place when the tipper driver slowed down near the Mudaga junction due to a speed hump. Although the tempo driver applied brakes immediately, the brakes reportedly failed to function properly, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash directly into the tipper. The front portion of the tempo was completely damaged, resulting in injuries to several passengers.
Around 12 passengers sustained injuries in the incident, and a woman named Reshma is said to be seriously injured. All the injured were rushed to Karwar District Hospital for treatment. A case has been registered at the Karwar Rural Police Station, and investigations are underway.
